SDHC Card reader compatible in XPS 600?

I just got a 8GB SDHC card and I can't get it to be recognized by my XPS 600's card reader. 

I went to the Microsoft support forum and downloaded the hotfix and rebooted but still nothing.

I am running XP SP3.

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated?
