Second Hard Drive Will Not Initialize
New Western Digital 500GB hard drive will not initialize on Dimension 8400 running Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 3, Bios version A09. Installed as second drive. Recognized in Device Manager. When trying to use Disk Management utility to initialize, I get error "Unspecified error (80004005)." from source LDM, event ID 2.
Any advice?

Have you checked in the System Setup [BIOS] that the additional SATA hard drive, is set to 'Auto' [on]?
