Setting FSB to 133 in a GX110?

I have a GX110, socket 370. I just upgraded to a PIII 1.4 S, using the Powerleap PL-Neo/T, and downgrading to BIOS A05. All is working OK, but my FSB is apparently running at 100 not 133, so I'm only getting 1.05 GHz out of my nice new CPU! The BIOS won't let me easily edit this setting, and there are no jumpers on my motherboard that will do this either. Somebody, please tell me that there's hope. How can I set the FSB to 133 (or how can i change my multiplier to 14)?

Thanks
Jason

there is no way to change the FSB of the GX110 in the BIOS.  sorry to say, but there is no hope with anything that Dell offers.

OK- thanks- i figured as much. If you were in my shoes, would you just install a new mobo?

The GX110 will run the CPU at either 133 or 100, depending on what it sees. It will run the RAM only at FSB 100. I think the problem must be in the socket adapter you used. I use a Lin Lin socket adapter--it can be jumpered to FSB 133 or 100. Check if you can set the FSB on your socket adapter. If not, the best way is to buy the Lin Lin at www.computergeeks.com

I just had a look at the PL-Neo/T instruction. It says:
"1. JP1 (FSB speed select): Pins 2-3 (ON), FSB-100MHz (Default Value); Pins 1-2 (ON), FSB-133MHz."
So you need to change the JP1 jumper to Pins 1-2, rather than Pins 2-3. That should get you FSB 133. Good luck.

ahhh- interesting. 'course, now i feel like i may have wasted 50 bucks on the powerleap one. I will check it out though when I get home- thanks.

YES- before even reading this, i took your suggestion and popped out the CPU from the adapter- and BOOM- there it was! THANK YOU. I had even emailed the Powerleap people for help and they didn't even think to suggest that! You rock. I'm in business.
