Silent audio install fails on Optiplex 745
Manually installing the Soundmax drivers on an Optiplex 745 appears to work without any issue. However, when we try to do a silent install of the drivers (using either the default setup.iss or one we've created on our own) the install fails to complete.
We've been able to determine that the installer is opening the following critical alert window when it fails:
****
Installation failed!
The audio driver files do not support your computer hardware.
Note: If you uninstalled audio software without restarting your PC, restart now, then run the setup again.
****
This issue has been reproducable on all of the Optiplex 745s that we have purchased so far.

There seems to be an XP patch to permit the HD audio cards. I haven't tried rebuilding it yet but take a look at the knowledge base article for KB835221.
