Sm Bus Controller - Yellow icon
Optiplex 755. Intel 2.2Ghz, 2Gb Ram
Under Device Manager > other devices i have a yellow error icon. Any idea which driver this is?.
I tried installing both Intel drivers (AMT HECI & AMT SOL/LMS)
I do have a message on the task bar saying. Intel Active Management (AMT) is disabled and can see no way to enable this. Is this normal?
Any ideas?

Hi
Had already done all of the above. Card is ATI Radeon 256Mb
The Sm Bus Controller is chipset related but i cant seem to resolve it.

Do you have a Graphics Adapter installed on the computer?
If so you need to download the latest drivers from the manufacturer website. Its a know issue with older Nvidia Graphic cards
Also update and install the lates drivers for the motherboard thats chipset drivers. best place to download it is support.dell.com
Also install the latest service packs from Microsoft.

I applied R174616 (Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility Driver) and the SM Bus issue has now been resolved.

Yes, I did. When someone searches for 'SM Bus Controller' it still pops up as an unanswered topic.
But not now........
