I have a Dell Dimension 4700. I'm considering purchasing the Dell AX210 speaker system for it. Is this speaker compatible?

Yes, they will work, although I'm not a fan of USB connected speakers. You will lose one of your USB ports to the speakers.
Standard analog powered computer speakers, that plug into the regular green speaker jack are a better option. You don't have to buy them from Dell, you can get them anywhere, including most Wal-Mart's.
