Studio Desktop 540 video card upgrade
I need a PCI Express x16 video card that will work with my current 430w power supply and also have DP out or mDP out to drive a 2560x1440 60Hz U2715H. Thoughts?

Thank you. Any cheaper options? I'm not a gamer and will be primarily using this for work (need increased resolution) and occasional photo editing.

Then get a Radeon EAH6450 which is less than haf that cost.

That doesn't have a displayport and, after reading the comments, it seems max resolution can't be reached over the HDMI port.

That card is ancient, and driver support is questionable.
Here is a used 6450 with DisplayPort.

Fans can wear out. I prefer a passive heatsink over a fan.

Bought the 6450, installed it. Plugged in monitor via DP. It doesn't work at 2560x 1440. Every other resolution works but when i put it 2560 x 1440, the monitor flickers off and on every 5 seconds. Will i ever get this thing working... :(

Update
The card that I ordered off ebay worked fine for a few months, then the problems started. Screen would randomly shut off and nothing could wake it. After popping open the case and looking inside it seems the heatsink somehow warped and was touching the board which was causing the card to get really hot and shut off.
Need another card suggestion if you don't mind please.
