So recently my gt 705 has been acting up. I get green sparkling pixels on my second monitor using vga and has been downclocking it self to 270mhz core and 405mhz memory which makes many of my games unplayable.
I'm unable to upgrade my gpu just yet so my only other option is to switch to integrated. Good news so far is that according to my research, the hd4600 in my i5 4590 is not only slightly faster than my gt 705, but it would probably run cooler too. Which brings me to my question
How do I switch to my integrated graphics? I know I have some things I probably need to do such as install its drivers (which may of been uninstalled from the previous owner who refurbished the pc). But apart from that is there anything else I need to do? Is it as simple as using intels software to switch or do I need to do something else.
Uninstall the drivers for the nVidia card -- and physically remove the card from the system.
Then use the connector on the mainboard for the monitor.
