System battery voltage is low

Will it hurt to do nothing at this point?

The system battery supplies power to store your motherboard's BIOS settings,  whenever you completely turn your PC off.    Settings include the actual time/date, boot order, whether you have a floppy disk drive or not, etc.

You can live with it, but on occasion having the wrong time on your PC can be a problem, and a failed battery can also cause weird behavior when you boot up.

Best to just replace the battery.  You can find instructions in your manual at support.dell.com, or if you post the exact PC model will point you to it.
