T1600 CPU upgrade to core i7-2600
I recently upgraded my T1600 MB from a core i3 to a core i7 processor. (Both are Sandy Bridge) While the system is running fine, the CPU benchmarks and Windows (10-Home) utilities are only showing 2 cores and not 4 cores that should be present with the new i7 CPU. I've checked the bios performance settings and the All option is selected for cores and all performance options are enabled. Is there another step needed for Windows 10 to recognize the new processor. (Activation checked and OK.)
The Window System Information utility is still showing the original i3 CPU. ?? Thanks for any advice.

Fixed: I ran the diagnostics located in Settings>Troubleshoot>Hardware and Devices and it identified a problem, corrected it, and instructed me to reboot. Once the reboot was completed Windows indicated 4 cores and 8 threads.
