U2515H, Nvidia GV-N740D5OC-1GI HDMI, 2048x1152

Hi,

Just bought a U2515H monitor and a Nvidia GV-N740D5OC-1GI (Gigabyte GeForce GT 740 OC 1GB GDDR) to get the optimal monitor resolution of 2560 x 1440, but Windows XP SP3 is showing me 2048 x 1152 as the maximum resolution selectable.

I use a HDMI to HDMI cable.

I have installed the lastest Nvidia drivers and contacted Gigabyte support service and they confirmed me that this graphic card has a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 @24Hz through HDMI.

Dell does not provide a Windows XP driver for this monitor. May be this an issue?

Please, can you help me out?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Sergi Morraja

XP does not support the required 332 driver.

Directx 11 is required for 4K and XP has directx 9 period.

You are right.

I've installed Windows 7 (32bits) and at the moment I installed the corresponding nvidia driver the resolution changed to the monitor maximum.

Thank you very much!
