Ultra ULT40109 card in Dell Inspiron 570?

I bought an Ultra ULT40109 8-Port USB 2.0/Firewire Combo PCI Card and had put it in my brand new Dell Inspiron 570, but none of the ports seems to be working. I contacted Ultra tech support and they said it doesn't require any driver (on my Windows 7). They suggested trying it in a different slot, but there is none. Does anybody have any advice how to make this card work. Phisycally it is installed correctly, but I am wondering whether I need to enable somewhere the PCI slot in the configuration (Yes, I am a newbie in this regard.)
