Upgrading a Vostro 220 from a E8400 to a Q9650.

Is it possible?  From  what I could find in the archives, people could not put quad cores in vostros 200 but I don't know the specs for the 200 and I wondered if anyone succeeded with a 220?

I'd wait for  the prices of the Q9650 to get lower as i7 get momentum to buy one, if it would work, of course.

Thanks for the answer. Does that mean you've tested other CPUs and they could not be validated, or are you in the process of validating more ? Anyway it's good to know that the Q9550 would work as I use a music producing application (Sonar 7.5 PE) which could really make use of more cores, even if they're 200 MHz less by core. Does the Q9550 come with 12 MB L2 cache?
