Upgrading percision t7400
Just got a Percision T7400 and would like to upgrade the CPU and Ram. What is the best CPU I can instal in the dual spots? As well as the best 8gb ram sticks I could instal. I have already installed a navidia GTX 960 for a graphics card. Would like to get the most power for video editing.

It depends on which CPU's you have now. The fastest low(er) voltage CPU is the Xeon E5472. If you have CPU's that have a cooling fan on them, you probably have the higher voltage ones. In that case, you could use the X5492. That is the fastest one. Both have a 1600MHz FSB, andwork best with PC2-6400 800MHz memory, although PC2-5300 will work. (It will run slower)
