What Drivers do I need on E1505

I dislike how Dell tries to manage the software they send pre-installed on the device. I got it and put in my own Windows XP Pro (I have plenty of liscences through my MSDN/Action Pack sub).

However, I noticed that I need a couple more drivers to get to the internet so I can get all the other drivers I need. Specifically, what drivers do I need to use the built-in wireless and to use the ethernet jack for net access?

Thanks.

And I think your list is inaccurate - The touchpad needs to work fine.

I _just_ need to get to the internet. Then I can get all the other drivers I need using the laptop.

What I need are the ones I need to download to a CD and then put into the laptop to get the laptop to the intarweb.

The touchpad will work, the features it has won't.

The minimum are CHIPSET, then NSS, then whichever wireless you have - you have to know what card you bought, check your invoice or lookup your invoice via the service tag on Dell's site.

I'll assume that you mean the E150, not the E1505.

Here is the list of the drivers and applications for the E150,

Because you are posting on a Dimension board, the "Inspiron - General Hardware" board is here,

Fair enough. I had to revisit the site a few times to get registration working.

Anyway, I got the drives I needed and am on the net letting Windows Update handle the rest. Thanks guys.

Windows update doesn't supply Dell drivers like touchpad, Quickset, ...

Too bad they couldn't be bothered to have put these all on a CD for me.
