I'll copy the info directly from Dell Media:

"Dell Media experience is an integrated player for music photos, DVD movies, and videos."

I never use it, though. there are so many other players that are much much better that come with your new PC from Dell (RealOne, Windows Media, PowerDVD, etc).

Integrated? which means  it's like unremovable software?

Yeah, it's just some program you can remove.  I played with it for 2 seconds last night, and it looks like it's kind of a Windows Media Edition-esque front end for playing media.  It actually seemed surprisingly spiffy looking, but I doubt I have a use for it.

Isn't the Cyberlink PowerDVD, which I understand is used to run the DVD player,  part of Dell Media Experience?

Are you sure it can be deleted?

I just uninstalled Dell Media Experience, and PowerDVD stays on the system as a seperate application (that can also be uninstalled). The version of PowerDVD Dell includes has the same interface as Media Experience even when that program is uninstalled. I stuck a disc in, and DVD playback works just fine without Media Experience.
