Which drives are were?

I am trying to copy some files to a CD. but i get a message no  "CD" in drive. Now which one is "D" and which one is, "E"?  .  Well i tried to put one in each drive...But i still got the message no "CD" in drive.. Now am i doing something wrong or is it my computor not reconizing something..??
  I have window xp.. and a dell  2350

Hi rzchrch,

Open My Computer and insert a CD in one of your drives, if it starts Autoplay stop it and see which Drive is showing the CD program you inserted.

takes.. i did what you said,, and i seen which is. E  or D. also just before i read your message. i did a smillar test... i went in my computor click on one of the drives  and then i had a choice .. of options.. ;one was to eject . and that will open the slot to the one  i picked.. but now i need to find out why its te
lling me that nothing is in the drive. when i do have a cd in ther
 
 
found my problem... was using a DVD+R to copy my file to....USED A =  "CD-RW" next and was able to copy my files............
