Windows 7 on XPS8700

I have the XPS8700 with a 2 TB HDD, GTX745 video card and 16 GB of RAM.  I see the Windows 7 drivers on the Dell site.  Which ones do I need specifically for my configuration of the XPS8700?  Also, which order do I need to install the drivers in?  Thanks.

Hi jimelliott,

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum,

In order to check and install the right driver for your computer, please click on this link http://dell.to/1hcxG98 Type in the Service Tag and select the OS type, install the Video Drivers accordingly.

Hope this helped.

Doing that just takes me to the driver page I've already seen.  That doesn't tell me which drivers I need or the order in which I need to install them.  I need to know all of the drivers I need, not just video drivers.

Hi jimelliott,

If you enter the Service Tag on the Drivers page it will give you all the drivers listed for your computer where you can install them. In case if you find the same options, please Private message us the system Service Tag and To send a private message, click on my user name and select send a Private Message and provide your service tag and I shall check for the Video card driver.

It lists drivers for components I do not have, which is why I need to know specifically about my computer (all XPS8700 computers aren't the same, hardware-wise).  Private messaging doesn't work at the moment.

Thanks, Philip.

I am going to pick up my copy of Windows 7 tomorrow, and I'll start the install then.  I'll let you know the hardware IDs.

Thank you, Philip.

Is the order in which you listed the drivers in your last post also the order in which I must install them?
