Windows 7

I have a Dell Deminsion 8400 which I have upgraded over the years. 2.5GB mem, 750GB HDD etc. I have decided I would like to upgrade to Windows 7 but the onboard audio doesn't have drivers for Windows 7 available. Does anyone know of an inexpensive Windows 7 compatible audio card I can buy so I can do the upgrade?

Did the Windows Upgrade Advisor tell you that? I don't think the integrated audio will be a problem. After the upgrade, Windows will search the windows update site for a driver. I have an old Dim 8400 and it's running win 7 fine. It has the original sound card, not integrated sound. Any sound card would do if you need to upgrade the sound. They are cheap--$30 or so. You should know that if you have not upgraded to vista, you will need to use the upgrade disk to do a clean install from Win xp. There are directions with the disk that will guide you. If you didn't yet run the advisor, run it now. You can get it Here.
