XPS 2720 use HDMI-In with pc off?
Hi
I have a XPS 2720 and XPS 2710. I read somewhere that you can use this computer also only as external monitor trough the hdmi input. That means witout to power on the pc.
How can I connect for example a notebook trough hdmi-in without to power on the pc/without to start Windows??

That does NOT mean with the PC off. The PC motherboard and Display use the same power supply.
If the PC is off the monitor is off.

Where is that written?
What they probably meant is that you can use the XPS 2720 LCD as a display for another PC or game box, connected to the HDMI-In, by selecting the video source with the button near lower right corner of the screen. But the XPS 2720 still has to be powered on.
Or, you can turn the XPS 2720 internal LCD off with that same button and send the video to an external monitor or TV connected to the HDMI-Out on the XPS 2720., again, as long as the XPS 2720 is turned on.

Im also wondering how it can work when the pc is not powered on.
For example in this review it is mentioned (in German).
