XPS 400/Dimension 9150 video card upgrade

Hey guys,

I have a XPS 400/Dimension 9150 currently with a nvidia Geforce 6800 graphics card. I was thinking about upgrading that in anticipation of D III being released in a few weeks.

Does anyone have suggestions as to what card I could put into my system without replacing the PSU or anything else?

I think i read that a HD 6770 would work but I just wanted to make sure it would be compatible and wouldn't require any other upgrades.

Or does anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks a lot I really appreciate it!

I am actually in the same situation as you are. If you find a good alternative, please reply to this post Smiley Wink

Re: XPS 400/Dimension 9150 video card upgrade

I think the HD 6770 would be a good choice.  I would not jump into the new AMD 7000 series with your older system.  Your CPU just meets the minimum requirement and the HD 6770 should meet the recommended video card requirement and work with your power supply.   HERE are a couple to look at without spending too much.   The difference is the connectors.  A bit less HERE on Amazon.
