XPS 400 Motherboard

I've just been told that my barely 3 yeard old XPS 400's motherboard is bad...figured it would last longer than this.  I called Dell Customer Service and they said that the motherboard is no longer available, but they would have Tech Support call me in an hour with my options.  A day later...no call from Tech Support.  No motherboard means I have a $1000 brick.  Does anybody know what my options would be?
