XPS 600 Freezes with 8GB Ram
I have had my system for over 6 years. Up until recently I had no problems with 8GB ram, but now it locks up with anything over 7 GB, even though I replaced the 2gb modules. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Hi,
Welcome to the community
Try running diagnostics on your computer, restart, on Dell logo keep tapping F12. Choose diagnostics and post back error codes.

Thanks for the suggestion. Should I put it back up to 8gb before running the diagnostic?

I've been running with 8GB since I had the computer, over 6 years. It just started happening. it runs 7GB but 8GB causes it to freeze.

My suggestion. Place 2 stick of Ram first in the computer then Run Diagnostics. Memory Test. If test passed, remove the one you tested, and install the other 2 that's untested.
