XPS 720, can mine do SLI 8800GTX's??

so i got only 1 8800GTX when i bought my computer

but now i want to put a second one in
but i cant find any more 6 pin power cables!!!

What do i do!!

i can see two 4 pin molex which mean i can get that to adapt as one 6 pin but i only have another 6 pin milex (it look likes a molex but not flat, it has 3 on top of 3 pins)

HELP!!

also i have one of teh 4 pin molex''s in a DVD Drive i put in but i dont need it, already got 2 just put it in for fun, lol

but plz help!!!

You must be running the 750 kw power supply.  The 1kw supply has four 6-pin connections.  The card comes with a two converters from a 4-pin to a 6-pin, so get a 4-pin to two 4-pin splitter, and you should have enough.

 

I'm running in SLI with my 8800 GTX's, but I've got the 1kw power so I'm not having the issue you are.  Sorry.

You need to upgrade the power supply to the 1kw.

Call dell spare parts. and be sure to order the power cord too as that is a seperate item with the 1 kw supply

can i buy a 1kw PSU thru retail, such as newegg or frys. thanks

I had the same problem as you, so i got may PSU and the SLI bridge from dell though one of there resellers we use at my work.  the SLI is now working fine. But to be honest apart from Crysis there isn't much diffrence.

 

I would recomend keeping what you have got until after xmas, then maybe going for a totally new graphics card.
