XPS 730 wont boot

Hi Guys,

I've trolled the forums for this one and done the online Dell tech support with no joy.

My brand new, shiny XPS has been shutdown for the past week as I was away. I turned it on today with no luck. On/Off button light is flashing.

It wont boot, have turned it off, on, disconnected from power and redone.

I do have mobo lights, but no fans. No Power supply fans. If I push in th epower button for 3-6seconds (dell techie suggestion), it clicks after the  and I need to power off.

I did notice that there is a green LED on the back of the power supply, which is off. And a button next to it. have tried clicking this but nothing except a click.

It was running fine until I powered it down.

Any Ideas?

Cheers

Andy.

Good Morning Andy,

I have a XPS 730 H2C and it sounds to me like your PSU has failed for some reason.  Call or email Dell Tech Support as soon as you can.  If it is still under warranty they are very good to replace these parts when and if they fail.

Best of luck,

Darrell WV

Thanks Darrell,

I emailed them about an hour ago with all the info and just asked if it was the power supply. Will expect a reply in the morning.

Thanks

Andy.
