XPS 8100 Radeon 6950

I have a Dell XPS 8100 with a 350w power supply. I bought a Sapphire Radeon 6950 2gig. Will the card fit in the computer and work? Or do I need a better PSU. If so, could someone please recommend a good cheap one.

Thanks

Do you think the 500w would be sufficient.?  I'd like to take advantage of the free shipping, the 550w does not have free shipping.(weird lol)

Also, how much power do you think I would need to run two 6950's in crossfire? (Maybe for a future upgrade)

Thanks

Hello Gabe3366,

Physically the Sapphire Radeon 6950 should fit in the system. However, minimum requirements for the Sapphire Radeon 6950 is 500W power Supply. Hence please consider upgrading the PSU. Personally, I would suggest Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 550w

Hope this helps!

Hello Gabe3366,

Yes, the 500W PSU would be sufficient. For CrossFire, the card requires 500W power supply with 4 x 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express power connector.
