XPS 8700 PSU and Video Card upgrade

Hello and Merry Christmas,

I have a Dell XPS 8700 that I want to upgrade the PSU and graphics card in. I am hoping to get a SeaSonic G-750 PSU and the MSI R9 380.

Will these fit in the 8700 case and be compatible?

Regards,

Eoin.

RE: XPS 8700 PSU and Video Card upgrade

I haven't followed the radeon cards to keep track of what does and doesn't work.

Another option is a GTX 960 and you can use the stock power supply.

The benefits of the 960 are less power demand, less heat output and very close to the same performance for the same price or maybe slightly less for the 960.

The MSI GeForce GTX 960 DirectX 12 GTX 960 GAMING 4G 4GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support ATX Video Card  is $219 After rebate on new egg.

if you upgrade PSU you don't need the G750, the G650 has more than ample power for an R9-380.
