XPS 8900 questions...

I just ordered a new XPS 8900 desktop. Got a couple of questions, please.

I notice a few reviews about the 8900 "Special Edition" desktop. Are there many hardware differences between the S.E. and the non-S.E. desktops. For example, are the motherboards the same?

Where can I find a spec-sheet for the 8900 motherboard? I'm interested in the number of slots available, and if any are open for future expansion.

Thanks!

Doubtful the SE has a different motherboard.

From a quick look at the specs, it appears the SE has a better video card, faster dual band "ac" WiFi instead of "bgn" WiFi in the non-SE version, etc.

There are two SE versions, one with a Core™ i5-6400 Processor, and the other with an i7. The one with the i7 has a 2T HDD compared to the SE with i5 and non-SE versions which have 1T HDDs.

If you go to the Shop site you can put a checkmark below a non-SE model and either/both SE models and see a side-by-side comparison of specs.

Good luck with your new toy!

Thanks for the link.

Can anyone answer my S.E. question?
