Xps 8300 motherboard...

XPS 8300 wouldn't boot up. Replaced the power supply and still nothing.

Now I'm wondering what are my motherboard replacement options. I think this has the P67 chip in it. It's a quad core i7-2600

all the motherboards I see now are for H77 chipsets. This wouldn't work right?

Any Links to compatible motherboards that also fit the case?

I heard about the mATX boards will fit just making sure chip will be fine and fit and no issues. I know the chip is a few years old.

Before you replace the motherboard I want you to take off the video card and use the on board VGA port to see if you have a UI that you can see on the monitor and if you don't have a video card then remove the CMOS battery on your motherboard and put the battery back in with a time span of 15-20 minutes. If this doesn't work then remove your cpu and put it into a different motherboard *thats if you have a test bench* and if that doesn't work then you may need to replace the motherboard.

Any mATX motherboard will fit the case, but you'll have to rework the front panel wiring slightly.

I put an mATX in an XPS 7100 chassis, which is physically identical to that of the XPS 8300.

Didn't test on another mb but did remove battery but nothing. It would start up for a second but then turn off and kept doing that. Flashing the amber color light on the power button.
