blue screen issues 01/08/0 error allocating mem bar for pci device and QL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP 0x0000000A (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x804DC11D) and

I have a Dimension 3000 Dell Desktop (Windows XP)  It's pretty old maybe about 8 (?) years now.  Had been working okay till about a month(?) ago.  Then this blue screen appeared when shutting down. unable to shut down but could manually shut off computer and restart and no issues.

Tried restoring to an earlier date but unsuccessfuly

any suggestions?

Hi Ifrie6,

The error "Error allocating  Mem Bar for PCI Device" points to a possible problem with the BIOS, possibly a configuration problem. The Stop 0XA error can also be pointing to a hard drive problem.

The first thing I would do is reset NVRAM

actually it's a dimension 1100.  got mixed up about computers.  Will this suggestion work with this computer?

Burn a Diag cd. run it.  Remove ANY PCI CARDS.

Dell 32 Bit Diagnostics (Graphical User Interface version)

This file contains an ISO image to be used to create a CDROM image. Download the file to a folder on your hard drive, and then create a CD using your choice of CD burning software.

Burn a CD and F12 Boot from it.
