I have a dell dimension 2400 it wont boot windows xp it states Primary Drive not found
strikef1 or f2 can someone help.

Is the hard drive recognized in the system setup [BIOS]?
Is the power button LED, solid green, blinking green, solid amber, blinking amber?
Check the sequence of the four Diagnostic Lights [labeled A,B,C,D] on the back panel, these are located next to the two [mouse and keyboard] PS/2 ports.

You need to check the system setup, F2 on start up, see page 33 of the service manual, I posted the link to.
Scroll down to 'Primary Drive 0: Displays primary hard drive 0' [page 35] and see if the drive is shown.
Are there any 'Beeps', see [page 3]
Diagnostic lights GGGY indicates 'Another Failure', this could be either the hard drive, or motherboard.
