memory for dell inspiron 530s

not reading the memory

Please explain...

i changed the memory on my 530s the other day and now my computer is not reading the memory,  I've put the original memory back in and still not reading the memory.  I've done everything i know to do.  can you help me

If you have already check to see if the modules are installed correctly, try setting the BIOS to defaults, using the CMOS jumper on the motherboard, to see if this makes a difference [see page 194] here:

Also, what colour is the power button light and is it blinking, or solid? [see pages 83/84]

Are there any 'Beeps'? [see pages 84/85]
