I am trying to run winxp recovery console but it isn't detecting my harddrive. I am using my dell OEM cd but it could be the wrong one because when I hit f6 to specify additional drivers it doesn't work. I have a few dells so maybe its the wrong cd.
So, I just entered my service tag online but I don't know what I'm supposed to download
Download the drivers for your chipset aka motherboard. Put them on a floppy or USB drive, insert, reboot your PC.

Google nLite. Use this to make a new CD/ISO based on one of your Dell CDs. You can incorporate the new chipset/sata driver using nLite.

dev mgr, I can't boot into windows hence the need for recovery console. I'm only able to access the web using a linux live cd.
