power surge on the USB port. Unknown USB device needs more power than the port can supply

I just purchased a new Dell PC.  I now get this message when I turn on my speakers:

power surge on the USB port. Unknown USB device needs more power than the port can supply. I have no idea why or how to fix it. Can anyone help me?

My desktop is:  processor: Intel Core (TM)!3-6100 CPU@3.70GHz 3.70GHZ

System type: 64-bit

Desktop-OAFUTM2

the speakers are from my previous pc. I see no name on them. it plugs into the green speaker port and has another connected line that plugs into USB port.

Test the speakers on all five of the USB ports =

two front USB 3.0 ports

four rear USB 2.0 ports
