(redirected) My scanner won't work from the scanner
I have a Brother MFC-J430W had been working flawlessly for the past year but recently it has stopped working as a scanner. If I try to launch a scan from the device or from my PC it gives me an error that it does not exist. "MFC-J430W cannot be found. If the device is OFF, turn ON the device. Check the I/F cable connection between the device and your computer. If the scanner is working with another application, cancel scanning or wait until the scan job finishes and try again. CC4-202-00000008. I have worked with Brother support and followed every troubleshooting step with no luck. They are now telling me I need to contact Dell because it is a registry issue now. They tell me if I tell Dell Support I can't scan when I press the scan button but I can scan from my pc through something like PaperPort that they should be able to help. Unfortunately my desktop is out of support and when that happens Dell doesn;t let you email support anymore?
