system 32 failure

Help! I have system32 files missing after updating my spybot. Now my windows will not boot up! I DO NOT have the installation CD. It was lost during moving. How can I get my windows back?

Could you please post the exact text of the error message.

If you are the registered owner, you should be able to request a set of backup discs containing the factory-installed operating system as well as the device drivers and utilities specific to your system from HERE.

You may have Dell's PC Restore by Symantec utility  installed, if the system was shipped on/after 7.16.04.

This restores the computer to it's Factory Settings.

Thank you. I finally used Dell support to use the Symantec restore option. Wasn't really sure what (or how) to get to that point, now I know.

Happy to hear that the problem is resolved.

You should try to obtain the reinstallation discs, if there is a hard drive failure, they will be needed to reinstall windows.   :emotion-5:
