Hi pompei,

Thanks for posting!

Please read the following troubleshooting tips.  If the light does not respond after following those, the LED may be defective.  If you are under warranty, please contact the tech support department for troubleshooting and possible repair.  If you are not under warranty and you don't want to do the work yourself, you may wish to contact a local computer repair shop for assistance.  Thanks.

Regards,
Robert

Hi Robert,

Thank you for responding. The manual is very helpful in order of taking out the Bezel. I saved the PDF file in my Favorites.  The power button is starting the PC but has no white light...has only the amber light when it is slipping. I want to fix this problem myself but more information about the Power button would help me understand the problem.

I do appreciate your help

Thank you

Ettore

Hi Robert,

thank you for your help. I did call Dell's parts department and I did buy the power button for $5.99 free shipping, part #  2MK4J for Dell Inspiron 660s. It will be easy to fix, connect only 2 plugs and is better then soldering.

Thank you again

Ettore
