third-party motherboard for Optiplex GX520 mini tower
All,
can you advice if I can replace the mobo of my GX520 MT to a third-party one. I was searching on e-Bay, where I found several Intel BTX motherboards, but I'm not sure if any of them fits, and if yes, which one is that.
I would appreciate, if you can advice some third-party models.
The reason why I want to replace is that I want to have a PCI-E X16 or better than PCI-E x1 available.

Hi Ibiooy,
Dell cases are notorious for their incompatibility with third-party motherboards. You'd be better off buying a new system.
That's my advice.
