windows vista 64 bit
Hi
I wondered if anybody could help me out.I bought a 2nd hand dell vostro running windows 7, 64 bit.I have never used win 7, i,m using vista. There is no windows mail on it but i found out there,s a few things you can do to make it work in windows 7.I,m after a copy of the windows mail folder from anybody running vista 64 bit.The version i,m using is 32 bit.to get windows mail working I need a copy of the entire windows mail files.I know this is cheeky asking but it will save me a lot of time and i,d be so grateful

Windows Mail was replaced by Windows Essentials Mail. I suggest installing the latter, and importing the mail from the Vista machine.

In a couple of weeks Windows 10 TH2 will be out and you can upgrade to it via a clean installation. You can then use the Mail app inbuilt into Windows 10 TH2 which should be superior to any Vista offering.

You have to buy windows 7 and upgrading is not cross platform so 32 bit to 64 bit requires total reinstall. The windows mail in 7 is NOT the same as windows mail in vista and is no longer supported. There are Zero upgrades for ANY version of windows going from 32 to 64 or the other way round.
