Device Mgr showing exclamation marks on all cpu i7 cores

Hi all,

Running Windows 8.1 64 bit on XPS 8700. So I just recently did a clean install of windows 8. Did this in the uefi mode with secure boot. Everything is working fine. In device manager, I got exclamation mark on all cores of my intel cpu i7 4th gen. I've done the uninstall, update driver thing, but no change. I even re installed chipset. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Roger,

The exclamation point should indicate an error code of some sort. Open the device and see if you can find that code.

Osprey,

Here is the message:

A driver (service) for this device has been disabled.  An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)

Thanks

Try uninstalling the driver for each processor and then scan for hardware changes.

No luck. after uninstalling each one, the scan for hardware changes does nothing at all, meaning when I click on it the screen blinks and nothing happens. So after uninstalling the drivers for each core, I do a restart and exclamation marks still there.
