Frozen Keyboard and mouse failure
Help,
My mouse and keyboard are frozen and will not allow me to enter password. Does anyone know how I can fix it?

Are keyboard and mouse USB?
If you reboot and press F2 before Windows starts to load, do you get into BIOS setup?

The PC model is Dell Inspiron 518. Yes, mouse and keyboard uses USB. The computer is using window with windows vista. I can get into BIOS setup.

Since you can get into BIOS setup, that suggests the hardware is working, and this may be a software issue. Try booting in Safe Mode and see what happens.
You may have to run a repair of Vista by booting from your Vista installation disk. Personal files should be ok, but you may have to reinstall some Microsoft updates.
