EkimKraw,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Clear Password

Turn off the computer and disconnect the power cable from electrical outlet.
Remove the computer cover.

Locate the 2-pin password jumper (PSWD) on the system board, and remove the jumper to clear the password.

Close the computer cover.

Connect your computer and monitor to electrical outlets, and turn them on.
After the Microsoft® Windows® desktop appears on your computer, shut down your computer.

Turn off the monitor and disconnect it from the electrical outlet.
Disconnect the computer power cable from the electrical outlet, and press the power button to ground the system board.

Open the computer cover.

Locate the 2-pin password jumper on the system board and attach the jumper to reenable the password feature.

Replace the computer cover.

Connect your computer and devices to electrical outlets, and turn them on.
Assign a new system and/or admin password.

**NOTE** This procedure enables the password feature. When you enter system setup, both system and admin password options appear as Not Enabled-meaning that the password feature is enabled but no password is assigned.

Clearing CMOS Settings

Turn off the computer and disconnect the power cable from electrical outlet.
Remove the computer cover.

Reset the current CMOS settings:

Locate the password (PSWD) and CMOS (RTC_RST) jumpers on the system board.

The jumper locations on the small form-factor, small desktop and small mini-tower computers are shown in the preceding section.

Remove the jumper plug from its pins.

Place the password jumper plug on the RTC_RST pins and wait approximately 5 seconds.

Remove the jumper plug from the RTC_RST pins and place it back on the password pins.

Close the computer cover.

Attach the computer stand, if used.

Connect your computer and devices to electrical outlets, and turn them on.

To obtain an override password for a laptop , you need to contact Dell and prove that you are the legal owner of the laptop and probably pay a service charge.

Should have started your own thread, but there are no drivers for Win 7 for the GX 280. The only drivers dell have are for XP
