How to Create Recovery Disk

Hello

I am trying to download the recovery image for my Windows 7 Dell XPS 8100 since the dik drive died, and the media I had does not work.

However I get the following error on the site when I put in my service tag:

"Recovery image not available for your Service Tag.

Sorry, but a Dell Hosted Recovery Image is currently not available for the Service Tag that you entered. Please enter another Service Tag or contact Dell Technical Support for further assistance."

Where can I get a recovery image download for Windows 7 on an XPS8100?

Thanks

Windows 7 recovery images were never available by download.  It's unlikely you can get one from Dell at this point, but you'll have to contact customer support to see if they'll still provide one.

Look on Ebay or Amazon for Resource CD for XPS 8100 and OEM DELL Windows 7 Home or PRO DVD.  Make sure its not a pirated burned DVD Copy but the actual Stamped DVD.
