IDE Device Failed: Blank Media or No Media is present in Optical Drive
Hello,
Can you help me with this error message. My computer does not reboot and when I ran diagnostics this was the error message. What does that mean and what do I need to do?
Can I recover all the data from the computer or do I have to re format the computer?

What is the computer model and version of windows?
The 'Blank media or no media is present in optical drive' diagnostic message, means that you failed to insert blank CD/DVD disks into the optical drives prior to running the diagnostic tests.
Did you run run the extended tests, or the express test?

How to run the Dell's Diagnostics Utility
After the Dell Diagnostics loads and the Main Menu screen appears, click the button for the option you want.

What is the reading of the power button LED, green, blinking green, solid amber, blinking amber?
Check the sequence of the diagnostic lights
