Issue with Dell 2350 and Lexmark Z22 and Z52 and USB connection

Hi,

I am experiencing a strange issue with 2 new machines (Dell 2350) Two
identical Dell's, two different Lexmark Printers (Z22 and Z52), same issue.
Both are connected to the machine through the USB Port. Both print fine but
after a while they stop and I get a print error and only turning the printer
off and back on resolves the issue. The printer always seems to switch to "offline".

Has anybody seen or experienced this ?

XP Home

USB ports are USB 2.0 ports (I think)

Thanks,

Claus

I have a 2350 connected to a Lexmark X83, which is a combo printer scanner unit.  I've had no problems with the USB connection.

The Lexmark does have a power saving mode that it goes into after some period of time.  Attempting to print gives me a message that the printer needs to warm up first, but it always does and starts to print in about 30 seconds.
