No sound in Linux Ubuntu with ALC888 soundcard
Hello
I have a new pc Dell Studio Desktop 540 MT with a ALC888 soundcard.
On Windows Vista there is normal sound, but Linux Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04 have no sound.
I tried several tips and tricks but can't fix it. Is there a solution for this problem? I hope somebody can help me.
Thanks (and sorry for the bad english)

It seems taht this sound card is working in one Dell Studio Slim putting this line in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base:
options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1 model=6stack-dell

And it works!! (/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf)
