On a Dell Dimension E 310. NTLDR is missing .
I had to wipe clean my hard drive due to a bad virus. I formatted the clean drive and installed it in the computer. i installed the operating system disk that dell sent me. When i start the computer now i get a message NTLDR missing.

It would be handy to include the version of windows in the post.
First, run Dell Diagnostics extended test on the hard drive.
If the test shows no errors and you are using XP, see if the following article can help
