OptiPlex 980 power issues
Hi,
Was having problems with the machine not starting up at all so replaced the psu.
New Dell psu arrives, great it works!
BUT, when I shut down windows and go to switch on again it wont unless I take the cmos battery out and put it in again.
Please could I have some suggestions of what to try! thanks, also I don't have any lights on this one to guide me.
I'm going to buy a new cmos battery today, do you recommend upgrading the bios here

Hi matthewjaggard,
Thanks for the post. After updating the BIOS and replacing the CMOS I would suggest making sure the BIOS defaults are set for testing, drain the motherboards power, and clearing the systems NVRAM. It’s possible the NVRAM is corrupt and resetting completely could correct this.
Check out the following troubleshooting guide for detailed instructions on performing these tasks.
