Optiplex 380 processor upgrade

Hi there. I have a couple of 380s the boys use for mine craft. They both have dual core 3ghz processors in. I got a couple of 3.4ghz. Which I believed would go in these machines. Specifically they are 3.4ghz, with 4meg front side. Aside from the speed bump that front side bus seems to be the only difference to the currently installed which are 2meg.

Well anyhow after install the computer won't turn on, the front power button briefly shows orange when you plug it in then goes off, pressing the power button results in nothing happening.

Could someone tell me whats wrong, I have two of these new chips and neither work. I updated the bios to latest with now change.

Those processors are not compatible with your motherboard. End of story. You are replacing a 45W cpu with a 130W cpu in and Intel® G41 Express Chipset with ICH7 that has LESS THAN 305W of power.
