Optiplex GX 280 power supply
I ordered a replacement power supply for my Optiplex GX 280 and am now trying to install it. My problem is that I cannot seem to safely remove the old power supply connectors from the HD and DVD drive. They seem stuck. I have tried pulling them out gingerly, but they don't move. Of course I don't want to damage the point of contact on either drive, but I can't see how these connectors can be pulled out. Is there some small point on the connector or on the drives' point of contact that must be pressed before the connector will release and can be removed? Or are they usually just very tight and must be pulled with steady pressure; although it seems this might risk pulling the contact out from the drive.

The power connectors to the drives have no catches to release, unlike the P-1 and P-2 connectors on the motherboard.
The connectors can be tight and hard to remove from the drive, just hold the connector firmly with the fingers and pull out of the drive, using a steady pressure.
